School Choir raise £477.44 for EACH

Pupils at Downham Preparatory School and Montessori Nursery have raised £477.44 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH). Before the end of the autumn term the school choir took to the streets of Downham Market, King’s Lynn and Swaffham carol singing in the local area to raise money for the charity

Among the places the choir sang were Parker Optometrists and Tesco in Downham Market, the Hare Arms, Stow Bardolph, and Tesco (Hardwick) King's Lynn.

Mark Jefferson, Headmaster, explained: “Our school choir is very proud to be raising money for this wonderful cause. EACH has been our chosen charity for many years now and the choir have a long association with the charity, having joined their friends at St. Edmundsbury Male Voice Choir for a joint concert back in February last year.”

Tina Burdett, EACH Norfolk Fundraising Manager for West Norfolk, said: “We’re delighted to be benefiting from the school’s fundraising and would like to say a big thank you to the school for supporting our continued care of children and young people with life-threatening conditions, and supporting their families.”
