Sedgewick Museum

Years 2 and 3 enjoyed travelling back over 4.5 billion years, whilst visiting the world famous Sedgewick Museum of Earth Sciences, Cambridge. The oldest museum in Cambridge. A museum containing over two million items ranging from fossils, minerals and rocks, dating back through time from the meteoritic building blocks of planets to the thousands of fossils of animals and planets that illustrate the evolution, of life in the oceans, on land and in the sea.

An interactive workshop was followed by both classes exploring the museum for more information.  Competition winners included Rachel, Paula, Johnelle, Nikolaos, Oliver and Srisamarth.

We would like to thank Revolution bar/restaurant for providing their function room (plus tea and coffee for the teachers!) for the children to eat their packed lunch in, out of the rain, as the original venue was unable to accommodate us.
